Which is better 5770hd or gtx460?will both of these graphic card run in my pc and what is its price in chennai?

intel core 2 duo e7200@2.53 ghz

windows 7

17 inches lcd hp monitor

msi boston 1.0 motherboard

looks like your power Supply can run HD 5770 not the GTX 460.here are the specs.GTS 460 requires a 550 watts of power Supply along with two 6 pin PCI-E power Connectors not just one.your power supply only provides 22 amperes on +12V rail which is not sufficient for GTX 460.

Answering your question nVidia GTX 460 is better than ATI 5750 as well as 5770.

But seeing your configuration I reckon a GTS 450 would work fine. It is Direct X 11 compatible. Same performance like 460 but with slightly low resolution, but just fine for your 17" monitor. You won't notice much of a game play difference da.. Also 460 is costly. It's priced around 10k. So 450 would be a better choice.

wahiditsme@yahoo.co.in|||see 460gtx is almost 50% faster than hd5770.but considering price it virtually has no competitor.hd 5770 will cost u around rs.9k but 460 gtx will cost u 13k.but considering ur confoguration u should upgrade ur processor and go for hd 5670 or 9800gtx (both r round 6k)if u want to play games.|||as above said , GTX 460 is better and also costlier than 5770 HD



but u don't require those cards due to ur screen resolution ,

so either get some card around 5000 Rs , or get these cards only if u r thinking about upgrading monitor and rest of the parts in near future (say 6 months)|||GTX 460 is better.
