I am buying through amazon. I have a tough time between "ASUS GTX460 1 GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5" vs "Asus nVidia GeForce GTX550 Ti 1 GB DDR5 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card ENGTX550 TI DC TOP/DI/1GD5"
Both seem to run direct x 11 and both are 1 GB; which one to pick. Both are from Asus and both are DirectCU.
My current computer specs:
Processor: Intel i5 2310 2.90GHz quad core
Memory: 2 GB Ram
Hard Drive: 500GB
GPU: Have a nvidia geforce 8400 GS/ So I think the moptherboard has a pci e x 16 slot. Let me know if any of the boath cards would fit in my motherboard.|||GTX550 Ti is an entry level card. GTX460 destroys it in any game. But I've never used one, I have dual GTX480's which I recommend..|||Both cards will fit your motherboard. The GTX 550 is a better card than the GTX 460, though will probably be a little more expensive.
Usually the higher the number, the better the card :)
I own a GTX 460 with 1GB of RAM and have to say it runs everything I've so far thrown at it in 1080p on max settings. Neither card will let you down!|||go to:
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/
and compare the 2 cards
2363 score for GTX 460 vs. 1893 for GTX 550 Ti
so GTX 460 is better....|||GTX 460 is much stronger then the 550 Ti. 192 shaders vs 336.
