I have a intel DG31PR with 1 x16 pci-e port, will nvidia gtx460 card work on my motherboard?

i dont actually know whether the pci-e port on my motherboard is 2.0 or not, if its not whether that gpu is backwards compatible or not|||it will work fine , PCI Express slots and graphic cards are backward compatible

just see whether u have enough power supply or not|||yeah it will work very well i have DG41RQ which has 1 pci-e 1.1 slot and my hd 5750 running very well on it. so ur motherboard won't be an issue.

before buy any graphic card u must check ur power supply it will enough to run that card.|||That mobo has a PCIe 1.0 slot. You can use a 2.0 card as they are backwards compatible. You will take a slight hit in performance (i.e. bottlenecked bandwidth). It will be good - go for it!|||Should be fine. I'm running a gtx 560 ti in a version 1.1 pci-e slot. The performance hit is so slight it's barely worth mentioning, in the ball park of 5%.|||It should work.

However, make sure that your power supply can handle it. You want a good 450-500W at least with at least two PCI-E power connectors and 24 amps on the 12V rails.
